How to downgrade from a reseller plan to a regular hosting plan Print

  • 0

To downgrade from a reseller web hosting plan to a regular plan, you will need to open a support ticket to request the downgrade. Changing from reseller hosting to regular hosting requires manual work from our support team, so this is not something you can do yourself.

If you still have active sub accounts you will need to let us know what should be done with these; we can merge them with your user account, so that all domains are moved into that account, or we can take them over as BoltHost customers. For the latter you will need to supply us with the billing contact details of each sub account.

Our reseller and regular hosting services are on different IP addresses, so if the DNS for any of your domains is hosted elsewhere, you will need to manually update the IP address. For any domains that are using our nameservers, we will take care of the IP address change for you.

Your new regular web hosting plan will likely be cheaper than your old reseller plan was, if so we will send you a refund or credit for the difference in price.

If you are looking to upgrade/downgrade between hosting plans of the same type, you can do this yourself, see: How to upgrade/downgrade your plan
